As my back is still in bad shape I still have to spend most of my time lying down. Therefore, I have a lot of time to draw. I hope that I will recover quickly in order to be able to start to paint these 2 wolves Altai is a snow leopard male arrived at the Servion zoo in 2010 and become a father in June 2013. Based on a picture taken by my spouse Marisa. As I hurt my back, I have to lay down most of the day until I recover. Not the best position to draw, but I need to occupy myself I had a small rest of black velours paper to ve used and had 1 hour free I started to draw cat's eyes as I believed I could obtain dramatic effect with black & white. It is one of the smallest work I did over the past years, but I am quite pleased with the result achieved New big cat painting for my series dedicated to white pastels on black velours paper (30cm x 40cm). Reference from Alannah Hawker, a great photographer http://www.alannahhawker.com/ As I was quite pleased with the results of my previous Lion pastel work replicating scratchboard techniques on black velours paper, I just started a new similar painting this time with a bengal tiger.
